The Oakleaf community donated non-perishable food items to Reagan Roper as a part of a feed the community initiative she is currently working on. She fills blessing boxes every Friday to feed Gilbert families in need.
The weather has been great for our outside visits this week! Being able to be outside with the warmth of the sun sure was great!
We had fun today playing carnival games in the beautiful sunshine. We shot soda cans with nerf guns…Ready, Aim and fire! Lots of laughter. Some other residents played bean bag toss. Betty and Peggy both enjoyed their Birthdays today! Their day was made extra special with cake and treats brought in by their families.
Today was our monthly pizza party in Oakhaven . The residents enjoyed their pizza and chips provided to us by our friends at Crescent Hospice! We love to read the sweet notes they leave on the pizza box! Look close and see heart of the inscription-“Enjoy, my friends!” Love them back!
The Seniors are celebrating Mardi Gras today. For this very reason, they were all smiles. Each resident in charge of meticulously creating a Mardi Gras “style” mask adorned with sparkles and multi-colored. Best of all, the day ended with some king cake inspired pancakes.
